Kilcormac Sustainability Development Project

The Kilcormac Sustainability Development Project was developed by Kilcormac Development Association to support sustainable rural regeneration, enterprise development and tourism growth within the Midlands region.

Through investment under the EU Just Transition Fund Programme 2021–2027, the project transformed the Kilcormac Community and Enterprise Centre into a modern, energy-efficient hub that supports remote working, local enterprise, digital innovation and sustainable tourism opportunities.

The project has already delivered significant positive impacts within the community, including the attraction of new enterprises to the campus, the creation of additional local employment opportunities and the provision of high-quality remote working facilities that help reduce commuting and support a lower-carbon future.

The Kilcormac Sustainability Development Project demonstrates how community-led investment can support sustainable development, economic diversification and long-term regeneration in rural communities transitioning towards a greener future.

The Kilcormac Sustainability Development Project is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the EU Just Transition Fund Programme 2021-2027.
